Dr. Mark Simon, Ph.D., Professor, Entrepreneur, and Author
Mark Simon is a Professor of Entrepreneurship at Oakland University. He teaches undergraduates, MBAs and Executive MBAs. His Undergraduate Degree is from Babson College, which has the #1 rated entrepreneurship program in the world. He received his MBA and Ph.D. from Georgia State University.
Dr. Simon also has a wealth of practical experience. He and family members have started over 10 successful new businesses, ranging from a wilderness canoe trip business to a venture capital funded technology startup. In addition, he has coached hundreds of entrepreneurship students and clients, and is author of The Balanced Entrepreneur, as well as multiple book chapters and articles.
Mark Simon has won over a dozen awards for his teaching and research. These include the Paul Lorenz Award for Teaching Excellence and awards sponsored by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, the world's largest entrepreneurship foundation.
Dr. Simon has dedicated his life to researching and teaching principles that lead entrepreneurs, not only to financial success, but also to a superior lifestyle. He now shares these principles in his book, The Balanced Entrepreneur.
